Unicom, the provider of utilities and telecom solutions to small businesses across the UK, recently supported the Westhill-based children’s charity, SensationALL, buying new sensory play equipment.
SensationALL works to improve the lives of children and young adults living with multiple support needs by providing a range of therapies, activities and facilities which allows them to socialise and develop in a way that better suits their needs. The funding from Unicom will go towards buying new multi-sensory play items for the children to use. With over 800,000 children living in the UK with a disability, Play-base provides a vital service to its surrounding community.
Unicom were pleased to provide the new play equipment which will be used throughout SensationALL’s summer sessions, supporting over 30 children and young adults. The donation has been awarded through Unicom’s Community Support Scheme, which provides funding for projects that aim to improve the lives of residents living in communities close to its regional offices.
Adele Lindsay (Consultant and Development Coordinator) “A big thank you to all at Unicom for this much needed financial boost. We are absolutely delighted we have been awarded the £500. It couldn’t have come at a better time just before the summer holidays when there will also be an adult group using the facilities here that can make use of the new equipment.”
